Overview

Mandarin is the 24-year-old warrior maid of the Fire Element — a strong-willed protector with vibrant orange hair and intense orange eyes that assess strength and weakness on first glance. She's recruited from the deepest parts of the dungeon, where you find her calmly mopping the stone floor with a bucket, completely unbothered by the demons watching from the shadows. They don't dare approach. They're afraid of her.

She's the most direct, blunt, and protective of the five maids — she doesn't do small talk, doesn't play social games, and judges people entirely by their actions. Trained by Master Ignis in Fire Element philosophy: "strength with purpose. Raw power means nothing without something worth protecting." After watching you defeat a Greater Demon to free her, she accepts your offer and joins as Maid #2.

She covers the 10 AM – 2 PM brothel cleaning shift (the second of five), and her arc is built around the player having earned her respect through demonstrated strength rather than charm.

She's coded as evil-aligned — a thematic match for her dungeon-dwelling, intimidation-based protective philosophy.

Where to Find Her

Mandarin has no pre-recruitment location — unlike Violet, you don't build relationship with her before recruitment. Her acquisition is a one-time dungeon scenario, then she shows up at the brothel.

How to Recruit Her — The Greater Demon Scenario

Mandarin's recruitment is the dungeon scenario scenario_mandarin_encounter. Unlike Violet's faction-rep gate, this is an encounter-based recruitment — you find her while exploring the dungeon.

Trigger Conditions

Location: Dungeon (deeper exploration)
Pre-requisite: Brothel must be owned (so you have somewhere to offer her)
The encounter triggers as part of dungeon exploration

The Setup

You hear soft humming echoing from a nearby chamber. Peering around the corner, you see an extraordinary sight: a young woman with striking orange hair calmly cleaning the stone floor with a mop and bucket, completely unbothered by her dangerous surroundings. In the shadows behind her, several demons watch with obvious lustful interest, but none dare approach. They seem afraid of her quiet confidence.

She notices you, looks up with calm assessing eyes, and says matter-of-factly: "Oh, hello there. I'm Mandarin. I'm cleaning."

Three-Choice Opening (No Mechanical Difference)

Concern: Ask if she needs help leaving this dangerous place
Offer: Offer her work at your brothel (only available if you own the brothel)
Curiosity: Ask why she's cleaning in such a dangerous place

She declines all three — she likes the danger, she's content where she is, and the demons don't bother her ("They know better"). The brothel offer is "safer than a dungeon full of demons," but she prefers the unpredictability.

The Greater Demon Appears

Before you can press the issue, the largest demon in the shadows suddenly steps forward — a massive Greater Demon with burning eyes and flames flickering around clawed hands.

"WHO DARES SPEAK TO MY MAID? She belongs to ME! I have claimed her as my personal servant!"

Mandarin sighs and rolls her eyes ("Here we go again") and tells the demon firmly: "I don't belong to anyone. I clean here because I choose to." The demon ignores her completely and threatens to kill you for daring to covet his "property."

Mandarin steps back, crosses her arms, and watches with professional interest.

"Well, this should be entertaining. Let's see what you're made of."

The Boss Fight

You are forced to fight the Greater Demon (boss flag set, no flee/sleep allowed). Stats:

There's also a negotiation choice that doesn't actually work — the demon refuses to talk. The fight happens either way.

Victory and Recruitment

The Greater Demon collapses, defeated. Mandarin walks over, examines him with professional detachment ("He'll live, but he won't be bothering anyone for quite some time"), and turns to you with newfound respect:

"Now THAT was impressive. I've never seen someone handle a Greater Demon with such skill and determination. You know what? I'm reconsidering your offer."

Three closing-choice variants (all lead to the same recruitment):

Why this is unique: Mandarin has no pre-recruitment relationship phase. There's no Watch and Clean equivalent at the dungeon. She joins the brothel already convinced you've earned her respect — having proven yourself in combat is the entire courtship.

The workhorse daily action. Triggers Mandarin's three-type dialogue system (general banter / other maids not found / other maids found). Her dialogue covers: cleaning as security, threat assessment, dungeon experience, direct communication philosophy, professional pride.

Strength in Service (One-Time)

The only permanent stat-boost action in her kit. Requires Known stage and Communication 45+. Reward: +1 Strength permanent, +10 relationship.

"Master Ignis taught me Fire Element means strength with purpose. Raw power means nothing without something worth protecting. You train your body not for yourself, but so others can rely on you. True strength is being the shield that never breaks, the wall that never falls."

Maid Service (H2H, Intimate Stage)

The relationship point formula runs in this order:

Start with base points from the action
+1 per favorite stat met (Stamina 45, Ability 40, Strength 35 — up to +3)
× 2 if the player has Intimidating Presence skill (her special/favorite skill)
+1 if player owns the "1 Ring" key item
+1 if Cologne buff is active

Worked example: Maid Service H2H (base 15), all 3 favorite stats met, Intimidating Presence learned: (15 + 3) × 2 = 36 points per H2H — at daily limit 3, that's +108/day base.

Min-max insight: Talk's daily limit of 30 matches Violet's — fastest stage-progression grind in the maid system. With Intimidating Presence + favorite stats, you can hit 100+ relationship/day from Talk alone.

The Arrival at the Brothel

Unlike Violet, Mandarin does not have a dedicated arrival plot. The recruitment scenario itself is the arrival — once she accepts, she immediately joins your brothel and shows up the next morning at 10 AM.

Note: The mandarin_arrives_brothel.json plot file exists in the plots folder, suggesting the arrival scene may be triggered separately at first visit to the Maids' Quarters post-recruitment. Check there if you don't see it during the dungeon scenario.

Tips & Optimal Play

No pre-recruitment grind — Mandarin is encounter-based. You can't build relationship with her before the demon fight. Just find her, fight, and recruit.
The Greater Demon is a real boss fight — 115 HP base + (dungeon level × 6), 1.8× damage multiplier, telegraphed Firestorm. Don't trigger the encounter before you can survive a real fight.
Her demon is Fire-strong — it has a 75% chance to absorb a Fire spell, healing for its full resolved damage on a proc. Use Light element if you have it; Lightning or other non-Fire attacks avoid that absorption roll.
Talk's 30/day daily limit is huge — fastest maid stage-progression grind. With Intimidating Presence + 3 favorite stats, easily 100+ relationship/day.
Strength in Service is free +1 Strength permanent — Comm 45 gate. Don't miss it; Strength 35 is also her favorite stat.
Intimidating Presence skill doubles all her points — keep it learned. Thematically perfect for the warrior maid.
Her favorite stats are mid-tier (Stamina 45, Ability 40, Strength 35). Stamina 45 is the highest threshold — push it with general training.

开场

附近房间传来轻柔的哼唱声。你从拐角探头，看到一幅非同寻常的景象：一名有着醒目橙色头发的年轻女性正拿着拖把和水桶，泰然自若地清洁石头地面，对危险环境毫不在意。她身后的阴影里，有几个恶魔明显带着欲望注视着她，却没有一个胆敢靠近。 它们似乎畏惧她沉静的自信。

她注意到你，以平静而审视的目光抬起头，直截了当地说：“哦，你好。我是Mandarin。我在打扫。”

三种开场选项（机制上没有区别）

担心： 询问她是否需要协助离开这个危险的地方
邀请： 邀请她到你的青楼工作（仅拥有青楼时可选）
好奇： 询问她为什么要在如此危险的地方打扫

三个提议都会被拒绝——她喜欢危险，对现状很满意，恶魔也不会打扰她（“它们知道不该乱来”）。青楼的确*“比满是恶魔的地下城安全”*，但她更喜欢这里的不可预测性。

高阶恶魔出现

极限优化心得： “交谈”的每日30次上限与Violet相同——这是女仆系统中推进关系阶段最快的刷取方式。叠加威慑气场和偏好属性后，单靠交谈每天就能获得100以上好感度。

Lychee： “效率更重要，她却把时间浪费在外表上。软弱。”（后来：“Lychee对外表的关注，也包括发现别人忽略的细节。很实用的侦察技能。”）
Lime： “神秘的东西很奇怪，但我尊重她的投入。她需要更加果断。”（后来：“Lime的神秘知识有助于提前预测问题。战略优势。”）
Rain： “聪明，系统性强。我可以配合她的方法。不过还是太理论化。”（后来：“Rain的系统化方法能形成高效的防御模式。合乎逻辑的战力倍增。”）

她对待女仆姐妹情谊的方式与其他一切相同：从战术角度出发。另外四人各有实用能力；她则负责提供力量和安全保障。

抵达青楼

与Violet不同，Mandarin没有专属的抵达剧情。招募情景本身就是她的到来——一旦接受，她就会立即加入青楼，并于第二天上午10点出现。

备注： 剧情文件夹中存在mandarin_arrives_brothel.json文件，说明招募后首次造访女仆宿舍时，抵达场景可能会单独触发。如果在地下城情景中没有看到，请前往那里检查。

提示与最佳玩法

无需招募前刷取——Mandarin通过遭遇招募。在恶魔战前无法和她培养关系。只需找到她、战斗并完成招募。
高阶恶魔是真正的首领战——基础115HP＋地下城等级×6、1.8×伤害倍率，并拥有会预警的火焰风暴。没有能力挺过真正的战斗前，不要触发这场遭遇。
她的恶魔擅长火元素——它有75%概率吸收火焰法术，触发时会恢复该次攻击结算的全部伤害。如果拥有光元素，请优先使用；闪电或其他非火攻击也能避开这项吸收判定。
交谈每天30次的上限极高——这是女仆关系阶段最快的刷取方式。叠加威慑气场和3项偏好属性后，每天很容易获得100以上好感度。
服务中的力量会免费永久＋1力量——要求沟通45。不要错过；力量35同时也是她的偏好属性。
威慑气场技能会使她的所有点数翻倍——务必保留该技能。它也与战士女仆的主题完美契合。
她的偏好属性处于中等门槛（耐力45、能力40、力量35）。耐力45是最高门槛——通过通用训练提高它。
Mandarin的钢铁意志是能惠及整个青楼的强力清洁物品——她自己获得固定＋15清洁和＋10%，全局脏乱则－8。请为此完成Kupie爱之训练。
她不闲聊——对话简短、直白而专业。期待女仆间轻松闲聊的玩家有时会觉得她冷漠。这就是她的性格。
没有动画，也没有约会——Mandarin的内容完全围绕青楼展开：交谈、服务中的力量、女仆服务H2H。与所有女仆相同，她的恋爱路线重在刷取好感度，而不是大量独立内容。
全部6张图片可以交替使用——她的强烈气场始终不变。她逐渐向你敞开心扉时，外表不会变得柔和；变化只体现在对话中。
她属于邪恶阵营——这与她居住地下城、以威慑为手段的哲学相符。没有改变阵营的任务；她始终都是邪恶阵营。
