Spoiler note: This guide explains how the Investment System works — the math, the mechanics, the buffs, and the strategy. It avoids spoiling Portia or Jade's H2H scenes, character beats, or the Broker job's narrative flavor.
What the Investment System Is
The Investment System is your late-game passive-income engine. You buy into businesses ranging from a $50 Coffee Shop to a $5,000,000 Space Mining operation — 50 investments total, each upgradable through 5 levels. Once owned, every investment generates daily income that accumulates while you play. Walk in, click Collect, walk out richer.
Unlike work jobs (which trade time for money), investments scale without consuming your day. A late-game portfolio can pay tens of thousands per real-world play session with zero active input from you.
How to Find It
The Investment Planning office is in the Present Era → Downtown → Office Building → Investment Planning room.
- Travel to the Office Building in Present Downtown (open 9 AM - 5 PM)
- From the office lobby, use the Go to Investment Planning action to enter the planning room
- Inside, you'll see three actions: Investment Planning, Broker (work shift), and Return to Office Lobby
Both the office building and the planning room are gated to 9 AM – 5 PM. Outside those hours, you can't reach the room.
The Three Actions in the Room
Investment Planning (the portfolio screen)
- Time cost: 0 minutes (free to open)
- Hours: 9 AM - 5 PM
- Opens the portfolio management screen — buy, upgrade, and collect
This is where you actually manage your investments. Opening the screen is free; only purchases/upgrades cost money.
Broker (the office work shift)
- Time cost: 60 min, -30 energy
- Hours: 9 AM - 5 PM
- Stat requirement: Commerce 30+
- Pay formula:
random((Charm + Communication), (Commerce + Intelligence)) + Luck - Skill bonus: Market Analysis ×2.0
- Stat growth: 8% chance per shift to gain +1 Commerce
Broker is the highest-ceiling proficiency-tier work job in the game. Four stats feed the formula, plus Luck. With Market Analysis (×2.0 multiplier) it scales massively. At Commerce/Charm/Communication/Intelligence all 50 plus 30 Luck, expect roughly $260–460 per shift with the skill — better than any single-stat career.

How Investments Work
The Daily Income Formula
For each investment you own:
Daily Income = (Total Cumulative Cost Invested in this slot) ÷ 50
Every dollar you sink in pays itself back in 50 days flat. Past that, it's pure profit.
Example — Coffee Shop:

So a fully maxed Coffee Shop costs $650 total and pays ~$13/day forever. Same math scales to the multi-million-dollar investments — Space Mining maxed totals about $15,066,335 and pays ~$301,326/day base.
Risk Tiers — Variance, Not Average
Each investment has a risk tier that controls daily variance. The average payout is the same — it's the spread that differs.

A High-risk investment can pay $0 today and 2× tomorrow. A Low-risk one is a steady drip. Over many days they average out near base, but Low-risk wins for predictable cash flow and High-risk wins for jackpot moments.

Earnings Accumulation
Earnings calculate only when you visit the screen. The system checks how many days have passed since your last visit, runs the daily calculation for each of those days (with risk variance applied each day), and adds the total to your pending collection pile.
You don't have to "log in" daily to collect. Skip a week, come back, and you'll get 7 days of earnings at once. There's no cap and no decay.
The Cash-Out Button
Inside the Investment Planning screen, the COLLECT: $X,XXX button shows your pending total. Click it to transfer the full pending amount to your wealth and reset the counter to zero. You can collect any time — there's no penalty for letting it accumulate, and no penalty for collecting often.
The Four Multipliers (They All Stack)
Four separate bonuses stack to boost your investment income. Get all four for max returns.
1. Investment Savvy (skill) — 15% off all costs
Every investment cost — purchases and upgrades — is reduced by 15%. On a $1,000,000 Banking investment, that's $150,000 saved on Level 1 alone. Across a fully built late-game portfolio, this skill saves you millions.
How to learn it: There are two paths.
Path 1 — Portia's Villa apartment H2H (the original source):

To unlock the Villa visits in the first place:
- 600+ relationship points with Portia (around Romantic stage)
- Must have completed her prior "New Place" H2H ($300,000, requires 300 rel points + completed Mall Shopping H2H)
- Visit between 7 PM - 11 PM at the Apartment Complex Downtown
- Daily limit of 3 villa visits, so you have room to retry the conversation
Path 2 — Arestes (Master Thief, Thieves Guild Hidden Chamber):
- Known+ relationship with Arestes
- Intelligence 19+
- 120 min, -50 energy, $500
- The "Learn Investment Savvy" action appears in the Hidden Chamber once you qualify
- Available 24/7 (Arestes is always at the Hidden Chamber)
Bonus synergy: Investment Savvy is also Portia's character special skill — having it doubles all relationship points earned with her going forward. So learning it (from either source) accelerates the rest of her romance arc.
2. Market Analysis (skill) — +20% to minimum variance
Boosts the minimum end of your daily variance roll by 20% (multiplicative on the floor). On Low-risk investments, the floor goes from 80% to 96%. On Medium, from 60% to 72%. On High-risk, 0% × 1.2 = still 0% (you can still get $0 days on High-risk even with this skill — it doesn't help bad days disappear, just makes mediocre days better).
Usage outside investments: Also gives ×2.0 income on the Broker work shift, and is Valerie's character special skill (doubles her relationship points).
How to learn it:
- Jade (Brothel Master Bedroom) → 90 min, -40 energy, $300, Crush+ relationship with Jade, daily limit 20
- Stat requirement: Commerce 17
3. Commerce stat — Commerce ÷ 1000 multiplier
Your Commerce stat applies a small multiplier: 1.0 + (Commerce / 1000).
- Commerce 50 = 1.05× (+5% income)
- Commerce 100 = 1.10× (+10%)
- Commerce 150 = 1.15× (+15%)
Modest individually, but it stacks with the others and grows naturally if you're running the Broker shift (8% Commerce growth per shift). Commerce also gates the Broker job (30+) and Market Analysis (17+), so building it up serves multiple purposes.
4. Buffer Optimization (Patreon Master) — +5% flat
The Patreon Master perk applies a flat +5% multiplier to every day's earnings via the buffer_optimization_level flag. Same +5% applies across the brothel and proficiency career income too.
Strategy by Phase
Early Game (Day 1–20)
- Buy the cheapest Low-risk investments first: Coffee Shop ($50) → Barbershop ($80) → Laundromat ($100)
- Don't worry about upgrading yet — get more horses in the race
- Daily income ramps to ~$5–10/day in this phase
- Don't bother with High-risk yet — variance will burn you when cash is tight
Mid Game (Day 20–50)
- Max all Low-risk investments to Level 5
- Add Medium-risk to cover gaps (Delivery Co, Food Truck, Bookstore)
- Priority: get to Portia at Villa stage before sinking serious cash. The 15% Investment Savvy discount on a $50,000 Private Island purchase = $7,500 saved per level. The earlier you have the skill, the more it saves.
- Daily income: $50–150/day
- Start running Broker shifts once Commerce hits 30 — feeds the wealth into more investments
Late Game (Day 50+)
- Push into the big-ticket investments ($10k–$1M+)
- Max Banking ($300k Level 1, Low-risk) — it's the biggest reliable Low-risk in the game
- Consider High-risk for the upside (Space Mining maxed = ~$300k/day base, average)
- Daily income: $500–5,000+ in mid-late, $20,000–100,000+ in true endgame
- Combined with maxed Brothel + Broker shifts, money stops being a constraint
Strategy Notes
- Earnings only calculate when you visit. Coming back after 30 real-world days gives you 30 days of payout in one cash-out — there's no "must check in daily" pressure.
- No collection penalty, no urgency. You can let pending earnings sit forever or collect every visit. Whatever fits your playstyle.
- Investment Savvy is the single highest-ROI skill in the game for wealth. 15% off forever, on a portfolio that will eventually total millions, is worth dropping a romance arc on Portia even if she's not your type. Some players prioritize Portia early purely for this.
- High-risk averages the same payout as Low-risk over time. If you can stomach $0 days, the math works out. If you need predictable income (e.g. you have brothel maid wages that auto-deduct), stick with Low-risk for your foundation and add High-risk on top.
- The Broker shift is the best work job in the game — but only if you build for it. Charm + Communication + Commerce + Intelligence all feeding the formula means you can't dump-stat anything. A balanced build pays off massively here.
- Sleeping passes 8 hours. Sleep, wake up, collect. Sleep, wake up, collect. Investments accrue while you do other things.
- Keep an eye on the COLLECT button color. It's grey when there's nothing to collect, green when there is. If it's green and big, walk into the office.

收益累积
收益 只会在你打开该界面时计算。系统会检查距离上次访问经过了多少天，对其中每一天分别计算所有投资的收益（每天单独应用风险波动），再将总额加入待收取金额。
你不必每天“登录”收取。 即使离开一周，回来时也会一次获得7天的收益。累积金额没有上限，也不会衰减。
提现按钮
投资规划界面内的 收取：$X,XXX 按钮会显示待收取总额。点击即可将全部待收取金额转入财富，并把计数器归零。你随时都可以收取——让收益继续累积或频繁收取都没有惩罚。
四种倍率（可全部叠加）
共有四种不同的加成可以叠加，提高投资收入。集齐全部四种便可获得最大收益。
1. 投资智慧（技能）——所有成本降低15%
每项投资的购买和升级成本都会降低15%。以一项$1,000,000的银行业投资为例，仅1级就能节省$150,000。将游戏后期的投资组合全部建成后，此技能能为你节省 数百万美元。
学习方式： 共有两条途径。
途径1——Portia的别墅公寓谈心（原始来源）：

首先解锁别墅拜访的条件：
- 与Portia的好感度达到 600+（约为浪漫感阶段）
- 必须已完成她此前的“新住处”谈心（花费$300,000；要求300好感度，并完成商场购物谈心）
- 在 晚上7点至11点 前往 市中心公寓楼
- 别墅每天最多拜访3次，因此可以重新尝试该对话
途径2——Arestes（盗贼大师，盗贼公会隐藏密室）：
- 与Arestes达到 已知+ 关系
- 智力19+
- 120分钟、-50能量、$500
- 满足条件后，隐藏密室内会出现“学习投资智慧”行动
- 24/7全天开放（Arestes始终位于隐藏密室）
额外协同： 投资智慧也是 Portia的角色专属技能；拥有该技能后，今后与她获得的 所有好感度翻倍。因此，无论从哪种途径学会，都能加快她后续的恋爱剧情。
2. 市场分析（技能）——最低波动值提高20%
将每日收益波动的最低值提高20%（对下限进行乘法运算）。低风险投资的下限会从80%变为96%，中风险从60%变为72%。高风险则是0%×1.2，结果仍为0%（即使拥有该技能，高风险投资依然可能出现收入$0的一天；它不会消除最糟糕的日子，只会改善普通偏低的收益）。
投资以外的用途： 经纪人工作收入也会获得 ×2.0 加成；此外，它还是 Valerie的角色专属技能（使与她获得的好感度翻倍）。
学习方式：
- Jade（青楼主卧）→90分钟、-40能量、$300、与Jade达到 迷恋+关系，每日上限20次
- 属性要求：商业17
3. 商业属性——商业÷1000倍率
商业属性会提供一项小幅倍率：1.0 + (Commerce / 1000)。
- 商业50＝1.05×（收入+5%）
- 商业100＝1.10×（+10%）
- 商业150＝1.15×（+15%）
单独来看幅度不大，但它可以与其他加成叠加，并会在进行经纪人工作时自然成长（每班有8%几率提升商业）。商业还决定能否从事经纪人工作（30+）和学习市场分析（17+），所以提升它能同时满足多个用途。
4. 缓冲优化（Patreon大师）——固定+5%
Patreon大师 特权会通过buffer_optimization_level标记，为每日收益提供固定+5%倍率。同样的+5%也会应用于青楼和熟练度职业收入。
分阶段策略
游戏前期（第1–20天）
- 优先购买最便宜的低风险投资：咖啡店（$50） → 理发店（$80） → 自助洗衣店（$100）
- 暂时不用急着升级——先让更多项目开始产生收益
- 此阶段每日收入可逐渐提高到约$5–10
- 暂时不要碰高风险投资——资金紧张时，波动会让你吃不消
游戏中期（第20–50天）
- 将所有低风险投资升至5级
- 加入中风险投资填补空缺（配送公司、餐车、书店）
- 优先让Portia的剧情推进至别墅阶段，再投入大笔资金。 投资智慧的15%折扣用在$50,000的私人岛屿购买上，每级可节省$7,500。越早获得该技能，节省的钱就越多。
- 每日收入：$50–150
- 商业达到30后开始进行经纪人工作，将赚来的财富继续投入更多项目
游戏后期（第50天以后）
- 进军高价投资（$10k–$1M+）
- 将银行业升满（$300k，1级，低风险）——这是游戏中规模最大且可靠的低风险投资
- 可以考虑高风险项目以追求更高上限（太空采矿升满后，平均基础收入约为$300k/天）
- 中后期每日收入约$500–5,000+，真正的大后期则可达$20,000–100,000+
