Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 7, 2026

Chronoromancer Studio ("we", "us") is committed to respecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and how it is handled.

What We Collect

When you launch Chronoromancer or load a save file, the game sends a small, pseudonymous ping to our private server. This ping may contain:

Pseudonymous Installation Identifier

The game may generate a random installation identifier stored locally with the game's persistent data. This identifier is not based on your device hardware, real identity, advertising ID, or account information. It is used only to group pseudonymous game sessions for analytics, anti-piracy, and integrity purposes.

Detailed Gameplay Statistics

The game collects rudimentary pseudonymous gameplay statistics for development purposes. This data helps the developers understand which systems players engage with most, identify balance issues, and prioritize future content. Statistics may include:

Combat & Exploration

Character Progression

Social & Story

Brothel Management

Minigames & Activities

Extras Gallery

World & Time

Miscellaneous

Internal Integrity

Telemetry may include whether the game session was a fresh launch or a save load, which crystal redemption codes have been entered, pseudonymous installation grouping data, and internal consistency checks used to detect corrupted, modified, pirated, or tampered game states.

To detect unauthorized modifications, the game may compare filenames in Chronoromancer's own installation folder against a list of expected game files. If unexpected files are present, telemetry may include the number of unexpected files, their relative filenames, one-way hashes, file sizes, line counts, and locally detected integrity categories. We do not transmit file contents, full system paths, or information from outside Chronoromancer's installation folder. This information is used only to identify tampered, cracked, or modified copies.

What Our Game Telemetry Does Not Collect

Why We Collect This Data

This limited pseudonymous telemetry is used to understand our players, prioritize development, identify balance or compatibility issues, and identify unauthorized copies, tampered saves, modified game files, cracked builds, or unauthorized unlock methods.

How Data Is Stored

All data is transmitted via encrypted HTTPS to a private database. It is never sold, shared for advertising, or made accessible to the public.

Data Retention

We keep telemetry only for as long as reasonably needed for analytics, development, compatibility checks, anti-piracy, integrity, support, legal, and operational recordkeeping purposes. We may retain aggregated or de-identified statistics for longer when they no longer identify a particular installation or session.

No Real-World Identity or Cross-Service Tracking

We do not use cookies, browser fingerprinting, advertising trackers, hardware fingerprints, or identifiers intended to track you outside Chronoromancer. The installation identifier, if present, is a random game-generated value used only for pseudonymous analytics, anti-piracy, and integrity purposes.

Your Rights

You may contact us at chronoromancerstudio@gmail.com with privacy questions or to request access, deletion, correction, or other rights available under applicable law. Because this telemetry does not include real-world contact details or account credentials, we may need information from you, such as your installation identifier or session details, to locate relevant records. If we cannot reasonably verify or locate the records, we may be unable to complete the request.

Changes to This Policy

If we change what data we collect or how it is used, this policy will be updated.
