Overview

Azariel is an ageless observer found in the Rose & Thorn Secret Room. Her current content includes conversation, flirting, crystal gifts, two skill lessons, an alignment reward, Balance Stone progression, a supporting scene with Blinky and a Christmas gift scene. This walkthrough gives the requirements without retelling the scenes.

Opening the Secret Room

  1. Access the Rose & Thorn's upstairs area and select Investigate Strange Door while the door is locked.
  2. The password screen directs you to the game's Discord community for the door password. Redeem the Secret Room unlock code through that screen. A successful unlock opens the door and sets the Secret Room to level 1.
  3. Select Enter Secret Room. Entry has no configured time cost. Azariel is present 24 hours a day once you can enter.
  4. On your first eligible arrival, The Earthbound Observer triggers automatically and gives 10 base affection.
The Secret Room is a brothel service room, separate from the Thieves Guild's Hidden Chamber. Azariel does not require worker recruitment or a Christmas event to meet her.

Relationship and Skill Walkthrough

  1. Build affection with Talk, Flirt and Crystal gifts. Each has its own ten-use daily allowance. Crystal gifts offer 20 base affection, compared with 1 from Talk or Flirt, but consume a Crystal each time.
  2. At Known and Perception 15, learn Empathy. The lesson takes 130 minutes, 40 energy and 30 calm, with no gold charge, and gives 5 base affection. It disappears once the skill is learned.
  3. At Close Friend, carry one Crystal and select Soul Sight. The lesson takes 120 minutes, 40 energy and 30 calm, gives 30 base affection through its scene, plus a choice bonus, and teaches Soul Sight. The action disappears once Soul Sight is learned.
  4. If Blinky is Friend and Azariel is Known, enter the Secret Room for An Unexpected Education. It gives 7 base affection to each character, plus their separate choice rewards. It does not require Soul Sight or an alignment tier.
  5. At In Love, pursue the Shield of Balance and, if you own the Balance Stone, the daily bonding action described below.
There is no separately authored personal date, home H2H chain or apartment visit in her current action list. The Christmas gift is a separate shared-system scene rather than a date unlocked by 400 affection.

Listed relationship rewards are base values. Favorite stats add bonuses when their thresholds are met, and the special relationship skill doubles the adjusted base before the shared random roll. Equipment, buffs and alignment can further change the final reward. Raising affection does not replace quest flags or earlier heart-to-hearts.
Crystal costs apply in addition to time and energy; a Crystal already spent on Gift Crystal cannot also pay for Soul Sight. Exceeding a daily limit can produce an annoyed response and a negative base award.

Shield of Balance

Reach In Love with Azariel and an effective neutral alignment of Harmonized or Eternal. Visit the Secret Room to trigger Shield of Balance automatically, once. There is no configured hour restriction or Crystal charge for this event.
The gate is neutral tier index 8 or higher. In the current alignment calculation this means your neutral counter leads both other alignment counters by at least 90. Having 90 neutral points alone is not enough if Good or Evil is close behind. The manual Unaligned setting prevents qualifying even when the counters otherwise meet the threshold.
Complete the scene to receive the Shield of Balance key item. It reduces direct enemy attack and spell damage by 15% in combat. The scene offers choice affection rewards but has no separate configured completion affection award. The shield and the Balance Stone are different items with different requirements.

Balance Stone Walkthrough

  1. Obtain the Balance Stone through the mining game's rare key-stone tiles. Collecting an unowned stone adds it to key items and starts its level at 1. Rare spawns are not guaranteed to select this particular stone.
  2. With the stone in key items, enter the Secret Room for The Balance Stone Awakens, worth 10 base affection plus its choice reward. This one-time event has no additional relationship-stage or alignment requirement.
  3. At In Love, use Intimate Bonding with Azariel while holding the stone. It takes 60 minutes, raises the stone by one level and can be used once per day. It has no configured gold or energy cost and no direct affection award.
The stone improves the combat defense roll: level 1 adds +1 to its minimum, level 2 adds +1 to both minimum and maximum, level 3 adds +2 minimum and +1 maximum, and so on. Each level alternately improves the minimum and maximum. You do not need the Shield of Balance to upgrade it.

These are the highest base bonuses for Azariel. In An Unexpected Education, the third Flirty choice favors Azariel (+2), while Kind favors Blinky (+2); its first Funny choice gives Azariel +2, while Flirty gives Blinky +2. Choose according to which relationship you want to emphasize.

Christmas Gift Scene

Enable the Christmas system, reach Close Friend or higher, and meet Azariel in the Secret Room. Select Give Christmas Gift while carrying at least one Christmas gift. The scene is The Unwritten Journal, and can be given once per NPC.
The action takes 30 minutes, consumes one shared Christmas gift and adds 100 affection directly. It includes an animated reward sequence. There is no additional authored 400-affection threshold or requirement to meet Azariel at Christmas Village. If you have no gift, the action cannot be performed; if it has already been given to her, it disappears.

If Progress Stalls

  • Unlock the Secret Room door before looking for Azariel. Raising affection or brothel reputation does not replace its password unlock.
  • Empathy requires Perception 15 as well as Known.
  • Reserve a Crystal for Soul Sight: it has a separate one-Crystal cost and requires Close Friend.
  • Shield of Balance needs In Love and effective Harmonized neutral alignment, with Unaligned turned off.
  • Balance Stone Awakening requires the stone in key items; the shield alone does not qualify.
  • Daily Intimate Bonding needs In Love, the stone, and an unused daily allowance.
  • Christmas gifting needs the system enabled, Close Friend, one available gift and no previous gift to Azariel.
