Overview

ARCHIE (Archive Historical Information Entity) is the android guide at the Modified Historical Archive Facility. Her current content centers on the archive terminal, historical records, conversation and a main-story visit. She does not have a separate finished romance route.

Where to Find Her

Visit the Modified Historical Archive Facility in the Future Fringe Zone. ARCHIE has no ordinary appearance flag or time restriction. Her personal Talk action has a separate Known affection requirement.

Archive Walkthrough

  1. Learn System Hacking to reveal Hack Archive Terminal at the facility.
  2. Use the hack: 30 minutes and 15 energy, difficulty 20. Data Mining and Digital Forensics are the two bonus skills; each contributes the action's +5 success modifier. The shared chance is Technology minus difficulty plus those skill modifiers, limited to 5%–95%.
  3. The hack must succeed. Success restores access to the alternate archive records and directly grants 25 affection to ARCHIE, opening Known and her Talk action. This particular unlock award is a direct 25-point grant, rather than the usual randomized relationship-action reward.
  4. Read the document topics from the location menu. After the hack, they normally launch the restored versions; the record toggle lets you compare the earlier and restored versions without undoing the hack.
  5. For main-story progression, complete Story Beat 22, successfully hack the archive, and return to the facility for Story Beat 23 — The Archive's Limits. This main-story scene adds 5 base relationship points and advances the clock by 30 minutes on its normal completion.
You can read the original record versions before hacking. The successful hack, not reading every topic or completing a gift sequence, opens her ordinary conversation action.

Record Toggle

After the archive has been successfully hacked, a record-toggle control appears beside ARCHIE's NPC display while the archive action menu is open. Use it to choose original or restored records for the document actions.
The selector changes which record version opens. It does not remove the successful-hack state, revoke the Known unlock, or change the main-story prerequisite. Loading a save resets the displayed selection to the restored records.

At Known (25 affection) or higher, Talk takes 25 minutes, gives 1 base relationship point, and permits up to 80 uses per day. It has no configured energy or money cost. The base reward uses the shared relationship calculation, so the final gain can vary with ordinary equipment, buffs and alignment effects. ARCHIE has no favorite-stat or special-skill bonus of her own.

Current Content and Troubleshooting

ARCHIE currently has no dedicated date, heart-to-heart, gift, apartment encounter, animated relationship action or skill lesson. More affection changes her relationship dialogue but does not unlock an additional authored romance chain.
  • No Talk action: reach Known; the successful archive hack grants the required 25 affection.
  • No hack action: learn System Hacking.
  • Original records still appear after hacking: check the record toggle and select restored records.
  • Story Beat 23 is not starting: complete Beat 22 and the successful archive hack, then return to the archive.
  • A failed attempt does not set the successful-hack flag or award the 25-point unlock.
