Overview

Melanthe is an adult lamia priestess encountered in the Medieval dungeon. Recruit her into a built Rose & Thorn cell to access daily conversations, Energy Drain training, three personal animations, five shared corridor encounters and the separate monster care/training system. This walkthrough gives their requirements and rewards without revealing the stories told in her scenes.

Favorite stats improve shared affection gains; learned Ritual Mastery doubles the relationship multiplier. Melanthe's player lesson teaches Energy Drain, rather than Ritual Mastery. Constrict and Seduction belong to her monster record and are not player skills granted by meeting her.
Ordinary affection, monster tamed percentage, monster experience, NPC intimacy experience and player Erotic experience are separate. Listed affection is base affection unless marked direct.

Recruiting Melanthe

  1. Own the Rose & Thorn, build Cell Corridor, and prepare a built, unoccupied cell among cells 2–8. Cell 1 is reserved for Bobo and does not count as an available recruitment cell.
  2. Fight the named Melanthe enemy in the ordinary dungeon, floors 24–32. Other serpent enemies do not increase her personal capture counter.
  3. For a reliable named battle, walk into the hidden wall on floor 27, x=2, y=10 while Cell Corridor is built and Melanthe is not already active. In one-based grid counting, this is the third column, eleventh row.
  4. Win five named Melanthe battles. Capture rolls start on the sixth victory. The percentage is min(100, 10 + 10 × (total victories − 5) + player Taming): the first roll is 20% + Taming, with ten extra percentage points for each later victory.
  5. On a successful roll with a cell available, choose recruit. Completion assigns her to the selected cell, activates her monster record and adds 10 direct ordinary affection.
  6. Visit her assigned numbered cell for the portrait. It requires Acknowledged, which the recruitment affection normally supplies. Her placeholder cell in the character definition is replaced with the actual assignment.
If no built vacant cell is available, the successful capture attempt does not recruit her. Prepare a cell and win another named battle to roll again. Choosing release also leaves her unrecruited; no particular romantic reply is required beyond accepting recruitment.
Infinity Dungeon does not increment these counters or offer captures. Use the ordinary dungeon. The hidden-wall encounter remains available while she is not active and its corridor requirement is satisfied, making repeated named battles possible.

Battle Preparation

Melanthe's named enemy has 87 base HP, a 1.6 damage multiplier, 13% dodge, 18% damage reduction and 25 magic resistance, before the shared floor/difficulty scaling. Her attacks include Poison Bite, Hypnotic Gaze, Magical Vortex and Magical Shield.
She is strong against Dark, weak to Light, and absorbs Dark at 90%. Prepare recovery resources and equipment for the deeper floors, and use Light rather than Dark as your elemental advantage. The floor-27 encounter uses the regular Melanthe enemy and capture system, rather than an automatic single-win recruitment.

Schedule, Talk and Energy Drain

Her active assigned-cell portrait is available all hours, every day, from Acknowledged onward. The Talk action itself lists Stranger, but the portrait availability is the practical gate.
Action Requirement Configured cost Reward / allowance
Talk to Melanthe Acknowledged portrait 15 minutes 1 base affection, three daily
Energy Drain Friend; Mystic 24; paid version; skill not already known 220 minutes; $500; 70 Energy; 50 Calm Energy Drain and 15 base affection, once
Three ordinary talks total 45 minutes and 3 base affection. There is no ordinary gift-giving action. After the Talk allowance is exhausted, her handler submits a negative base reward; shared over-limit checks can apply increasing penalties up to 5 points per failed attempt.
Energy Drain is a player combat skill described as stealing enemy vitality. It is hidden after it has been learned. Learning it does not require a personal animation, a corridor encounter or a monster training level. Friend affection is its relationship gate; 30 tamed is a separate care-system requirement and does not substitute for Friend.

Three Personal Animations

All three actions require the paid version and start from Melanthe's assigned cell. They have independent once-per-day allowances, and no required prior-animation chain.
Action Affection requirement Configured cost Base affection Player Erotic XP NPC intimacy XP
Ancient Rites Friend 60 minutes; 100 Energy 10 50 25, oral
Coiled Rite Close Friend 60 minutes; 100 Energy 25 65 25, doggie
Priestess Above Crush 60 minutes; 100 Energy 40 80 25, cowgirl
Each completed personal action also adds 5 tamed while she is active and has a 1% chance to raise player Taming by 1. These are additional monster-care effects, rather than extra ordinary affection or monster experience.
The handler processes the listed affection once, then plays the corresponding video scene and records its NPC intimacy metadata. Do not add a second copy of the action's affection field. Applicable player modifiers can reduce the starting costs; the table lists their configured costs.
At Crush, all three are eligible independently if unused that day. Their unmodified combined cost is 180 minutes and 300 Energy, yielding 75 base affection, 195 player Erotic XP, 75 NPC intimacy XP and 15 tamed. This is a comparison of all three allowances, not a requirement to perform them in one session.

Five Shared Corridor Encounters

Visit Cell Corridor with Friend or higher affection for both participants. Each scene triggers automatically once, with no hour restriction and no required prior corridor-scene chain. The Arachne scene additionally requires both monsters to be active.
Scene / other participant Fixed Melanthe base Highest Melanthe choice Best Melanthe base total
Bobo — Shinies of a Fallen Empire 5 Caring or Flirty +5 10
Myriss — A Contest of Contempt 5 Flirty +5 10
Jelly — The Serpents Choose 5 Flirty +5 10
Bessie — Empires and Dinner 5 Caring or Flirty +5 10
Arachne — The Unfinished Pattern 5 Caring +5 10
For the same listed choices, Bobo receives 8 base, Myriss 10, Jelly 8, Bessie 9, and Arachne 10. A different reply can favor the other participant. These are ordinary affection gains and do not replace training, tame percentage or player skill lessons.
If several scenes are eligible, finish the one that plays and revisit the corridor for the next. A personal cell animation is not an additional prerequisite for these shared scenes.

Daily Monster Care

Select active Melanthe through monster management for a care session. She starts with 20 tamed, 80 Health, 0 Stress and 0 monster experience. Care is unavailable while she is resting or after that day's care visit has already been used.
  • Feed consumes 7 Food, raises tamed by 10, normally capped at 100, and has its own session allowance. Feeding from the initial 20 reaches 30, unlocking Teach and Training. If feeding fails because you lack Food, obtain Food and retry.
  • A care session permits one use of each available category: Feed, tool-based Discipline, Teach and Training. Their allowances are separate, so feeding and one training can occur during the same visit.
  • Teach and Training need 30 tamed or higher. Affection stage does not replace that threshold. Teach selects a dialogue topic and does not grant the player Ritual Mastery, Constrict or Seduction.
  • Discipline tool effects vary in tamed, Stress, Health and monster experience. Inspect the selected tool. Claw uses the shared higher tamed cap of 150.
  • Her ordinary daily tamed decay is 7, applied after care begins. Her three personal animations can help raise tamed, but do not replace the daily care system.
  • One Smelling Salts reduces Stress by 10 for all active monsters through the shared care interface.
Feeding and monster training do not have a separate direct Melanthe-affection award configured. Track ordinary relationship stage and tamed value independently. High affection does not prevent the tamed meter from falling below the care threshold.

Eight Monster Training Levels

Training begins at level 1 and advances one level per completed training, capped at 8. Earlier training options remain available. Choose one training per care session.
Level / training Monster stat improvement Melanthe NPC intimacy XP
1 / Kissing Aura +1 5, kissing
2 / Oral Cunning +1 25, oral
3 / Missionary Allure +1 25, missionary
4 / Cowgirl Vitality +1 25, cowgirl
5 / Doggie Ability +1 25, doggie
6 / Special 1 Agility +1 25, special
7 / Special 2 Two different random monster stats +1 each 25, oral and special
8 / Special 3 Two different random monster stats +1 each 25, cowgirl / reverse cowgirl
Stat improvements are capped at 100. Each training also grants monster experience, equal to one random roll from 1 to player Taming plus one from 1 to Melanthe's Cunning, with each upper bound at least one. Monster experience can be spent to raise a monster stat; the cost of one increase is the new stat value.
The current game contains her full 19-image care/training set, including all eight training pairs. Monster training records the NPC intimacy rewards above but has no separate player Erotic experience award. Her personal animations are the actions that grant the listed player Erotic XP.

Current Content and Troubleshooting

  • Recruitment never appears: defeat the named Melanthe, use the ordinary dungeon, and exceed five victories. Successful capture also needs a built vacant cell 2–8 to recruit her.
  • Floor-27 wall is blocked: build Cell Corridor and check whether Melanthe is already active. The hidden tile is x=2, y=10.
  • Cell portrait is absent: check active recruitment, her actual cell assignment and Acknowledged affection. Visit that numbered cell rather than expecting her portrait in the corridor.
  • Energy Drain is missing: check Friend, Mystic 24, paid access, whether the skill is already known, and the resource costs.
  • Later animation is missing: check its Friend / Close Friend / Crush stage, paid access and individual daily use. Previous animations are not mandatory unlocks.
  • Training is locked despite friendship: restore 30 tamed and check resting and daily care status.
  • Shared encounter is missing: reach Friend with both characters and visit Cell Corridor; Arachne's scene also requires both active.
Melanthe has no configured personal H2H, ordinary date, apartment visit, pregnancy route, Kupie album, Christmas scene, maid cleaning progression or resort vacation. Her monster training is separate from the numbered brothel-worker roster.
