Morrie — Dungeon Encounters

Morrie holding her scythe

Morrie
Dungeon encounter character

Morrie is a wandering, scythe-carrying soul collector encountered in the Ancient Catacombs. Her visits form a collection of 15 one-time dungeon scenes. Progress comes from finding the right encounters, rather than raising relationship points, giving gifts or following a daily NPC schedule.
This guide gives locations, prerequisites and completion advice. Dialogue, scene outcomes and major character revelations are left to the game.

Quick Start

  1. Enter the normal Ancient Catacombs through Medieval → Village Outskirts → Monastery Scriptoria → Underground Catacombs → Explore Ancient Catacombs.
  2. Explore any accessible floor from 16 through 50 until Morrie's introduction, Your Time Has Come, is selected as a random scenario.
  3. Finish the introduction. Every other Morrie encounter requires it.
  4. Return to the relevant floor bands in the encounter table below. The other fourteen scenes can be found in any order once their own requirements are met.
  5. Keep Awesome Crown, Gladiator Belt and 1 Ring in Key Items, and progress Sashimi's water encounters and Bobo's dungeon encounters for the five scenes that use those prerequisites.
Use the normal dungeon, including its mechanical and volcanic regions. Infinity Dungeons are a separate battles-only mode and do not run Morrie's random scenes. There is no special Morrie entrance or separate minigame to launch.
The usual dungeon progression and content-access gates still apply. Bring the equipment, supplies and skills needed to explore the target floor safely; see Dungeon and Dragon Coin Guide.

How Her Progression Works

Feature Morrie's system
Where to meet her Random scenarios in the normal dungeon
Introduction Floors 16–50; required before every other encounter
Total scenes 15: introduction plus fourteen follow-ups
Relationship points / stages No normal relationship meter or stage ladder
Gifts and daily Talk No ordinary gift or Talk action list
Home and schedule No town home or daily visiting hours
Recruitment These encounters do not recruit a worker, maid or companion
Repeatability Each scene completes once per save; replay support is in EXTRAS

Random selection, not a guaranteed meeting

Morrie's eligible scenes join the scenario candidates for your current floor. The introduction is an ordinary candidate, not a priority event with a guaranteed first meeting. Other scenarios, battles, priority encounters and recent-scenario filtering affect what happens while exploring.
There is no single fixed “Morrie chance per step.” Reaching an eligible floor makes a scene possible; it does not promise it on arrival, after one battle, or after a fixed number of moves. There is no need to push to the deepest floor just to meet her: any safely accessible floor in 16–50 can provide the introduction.

One-time completion

Each scene has its own saved completion flag. Finish it and the same scene leaves the encounter candidates. Leaving the dungeon does not reset completed Morrie scenes. Her dialogue choices do not create a hidden relationship grind or a separate successful-answer requirement.
The fourteen follow-ups are independent after the introduction. Their gallery numbers are catalog positions, not a requirement to complete scenes 2, 3, 4 and so on in sequence. A scene that needs an item or another character's progress can be left for a later visit.

All 15 Encounters

The table uses the scene names shown in Morrie's EXTRAS catalog. Floor endpoints are inclusive. Every row except the introduction also requires the introduction completed and that particular scene not yet completed.
Gallery # Encounter Normal floors Additional requirement
1 Your Time Has Come 16–50 No extra prerequisite; this is the introduction
2 The Skeleton King's Crown 2–12 or 14–30 Awesome Crown in Key Items
3 The Octopus Bath 13 only At least 3 Sashimi water encounters completed
4 The Vampire's Celebration 21–25 1 Ring in Key Items
5 The Two-Headed Bodyguard 34–35 At least 3 Bobo encounters completed
6 Unexpected Company Any normal floor 1–50 except 13 No extra item or character requirement
7 The Champion's Winnings 1–12 or 14–30 Gladiator Belt in Key Items
8 The Living Vines 31–35 No extra prerequisite
9 The Coffin Ferry 13 only No extra prerequisite
10 The Broken Mech 41–45 No extra prerequisite
11 The Void Drift 36–40 No extra prerequisite
12 The Infernal Forge 26–30 No extra prerequisite
13 The Mimic Bounty 2–12 or 14–25 No extra prerequisite
14 The Mushroom Wisps 31–35 No extra prerequisite
15 The Crystal Cold 14–20 No extra prerequisite
The key items are checked for ownership, not spent by Morrie's encounter. These are the named items in Key Items, not ordinary Jewelry or an equipped worker accessory. Her three item-gated scenes are follow-ups to your existing progress; they do not award those prerequisite items themselves.

Finding the Prerequisites

Awesome Crown

Obtain Awesome Crown from the separate Skeleton King dungeon scenario and keep it in Key Items. Morrie's The Skeleton King's Crown then becomes eligible on 2–12 or 14–30, after her introduction. The original Skeleton King event and Morrie's follow-up are different scenarios.

Gladiator Belt

Obtain Gladiator Belt from the Fight Club Arena scenario's champion reward. Morrie's The Champion's Winnings checks that exact Key Item and can appear on 1–12 or 14–30. Having a high combat stat or merely visiting the arena does not replace ownership of the belt.

1 Ring

Obtain the Key Item named 1 Ring from the separate Vampire Ring scenario. Morrie's The Vampire's Celebration needs it on 21–25, after her introduction. An ordinary gift, another ring or a relationship stage is not a substitute.

Three Sashimi water encounters

Complete Sashimi's first three water encounters on floor 13. Morrie's The Octopus Bath checks that encounter count, not Sashimi's relationship points, whether she is an active worker, or whether the Resort is unlocked. With the introduction completed, return to floor 13 for the Morrie scene.
Learn Swim for water exploration. See Sashimi and Dungeon Guide for the water route.

Three Bobo encounters

Complete all three Bobo dungeon encounters. Bobo's chain appears across floors 32–34 and requires the brothel's Cell Corridor for its priority encounters. Once the third encounter is complete, Morrie's The Two-Headed Bodyguard is eligible on 34–35.
Talking to Bobo or meeting him only once is insufficient: Morrie checks the completed dungeon-encounter counter. See Bobo for that character's route and Gastoff's construction guide for the Cell Corridor.

Floor-by-Floor Planner

This planner lists potential follow-ups after the introduction. The item and encounter-counter requirements in the full table still apply, and already completed scenes are removed.
Normal floor(s) Potential Morrie follow-ups
1 Champion; Company
2–12 Skeleton King; Champion; Mimic Bounty; Company
13 Coffin Ferry; Octopus
14–20 Crystal Cold; Skeleton King; Champion; Mimic Bounty; Company
21–25 Vampire; Skeleton King; Champion; Mimic Bounty; Company
26–30 Infernal Forge; Skeleton King; Champion; Company
31–33 Living Vines; Mushroom Wisps; Company
34–35 Living Vines; Mushroom Wisps; Two-Headed Bodyguard; Company
36–40 Void Drift; Company
41–45 Broken Mech; Company
46–50 Company

Floor 13 deserves its own visit

The Coffin Ferry and The Octopus Bath appear only on floor 13. Unexpected Company is excluded there. Complete the three Sashimi water encounters to make both Morrie scenes eligible, then keep exploring the floor's scenario pool. Other water events still compete with them, so these are not guaranteed consecutive scenes.

Floors 46–50 are not the whole route

These floors can provide the introduction and, afterward, Unexpected Company. Morrie's other thirteen follow-ups are on shallower floors. If you met her in the volcanic region and then stopped finding new scenes, use the floor picker to return to the missing scene's band.

Suggested Completion Route

  1. Meet Morrie on a safe floor in 16–50. Use a region you can already explore comfortably; no particular floor is mandatory within that range.
  2. Check your three Key Items and continue the separate Crown, Belt or Ring events if anything is missing.
  3. Visit 2–12 for the Crown, Champion and Mimic follow-ups, as their prerequisites allow. Unexpected Company can also appear.
  4. Make a dedicated floor-13 trip for Coffin Ferry and, after three Sashimi encounters, Octopus.
  5. Visit 14–20 for Crystal Cold. This band can also finish the Crown, Champion or Mimic scenes if they are still outstanding.
  6. Visit 21–25 with 1 Ring for Vampire, then 26–30 for Infernal Forge.
  7. Visit 31–35 for Living Vines and Mushroom Wisps. Complete Bobo's chain and use 34–35 for Two-Headed Bodyguard.
  8. Visit 36–40 for Void Drift and 41–45 for Broken Mech.
  9. Check Morrie's EXTRAS entries against the table to identify anything left. Unexpected Company can be collected on any supported normal floor except 13 after the introduction.
This is a convenient route, not a mandatory quest order. You can leave, recover, do other quests and return later. Her encounters have no separate calendar deadline.

Rewards and EXTRAS

The main progression is the scene collection itself. Morrie's encounter scripts record completion and return you to the dungeon; they do not pay a standard gold, Crystal, skill, equipment or relationship-point reward for each scene. In particular, they do not grant the Crown, Belt or Ring required to make certain scenes appear.
Morrie has her own profile and 15 scene entries in EXTRAS. Use their titles to track the collection and revisit unlocked material through the gallery's normal access rules. A gallery replay is separate from triggering the one-time encounter again in a dungeon run.

Troubleshooting

I have never met her

Use the normal dungeon, reach 16–50, and keep exploring for random scenarios. The introduction cannot appear on 1–15. Check ordinary floor access and your ability to survive the region; Morrie has no relationship or gift requirement of her own.

I met her, but now she has disappeared

Check the floor planner. At 46–50, only Unexpected Company remains after the introduction. Most scenes need you to return to a lower band, and completed ones will not repeat in live exploration.

The item scene never appears

Check Key Items for the exact name, then check the floor range. Crown and Champion both exclude floor 13; Vampire is only 21–25. Owning all three items does not make every Morrie scene available on every floor.

Octopus or Bodyguard is missing

Octopus needs three completed Sashimi water encounters and floor 13. Bodyguard needs three completed Bobo encounters and floor 34 or 35. Neither uses relationship points as a replacement for that progress.

Does choosing a different answer unlock another route?

The current scenes do not use a Morrie relationship meter or a choice-based route lock. Choose the dialogue you prefer and finish the scene. Her next eligible encounter is determined by the introduction, floor, prerequisite items/counters and saved completion.

Can I start without a new save?

Her eligible encounter list is rebuilt from your current progress when scenarios are selected. An existing save can discover the introduction if it has not been completed; it does not need a newly initialized Morrie NPC record. Use a build containing her encounters and the normal dungeon.
